Families can sometimes create patterns of communication or being together that can impact one or more of their members negatively. In family therapy, my goal is to understand and make the family aware of what dynamics are causing the problem. I will listen for each member’s story and perception of the family's difficulties, and make practical recommendations for the family to start implementing gradual and achievable changes. Family therapy can be a short-term intervention with weekly or bi-monthly meetings.
